I love water. In fact I may love water more than my bike and running shoes. Let me clarify; I enjoy drinking water. The swimming pool is a different matter. :) And I am SO VERY grateful for H20 too. Did you know that 1 in 6 don't have access to clean water? Half of the world's hospitalizations are due to water-related diseases? I advocate for a few different causes that are helping to bring clean water and wells to people that so desperately need it. Consider sponsoring a child with Compassion or blood: water mission.
Last week someone replied to me that they "can't just drink water". My response was why not? We as a society have become so saturated with believing that we HAVE to drink soda, coffee, tea and a host of other flavored beverages. Which are full of sugar, caffeine, HFCS, dyes and other junk. I only drink water. Seriously.
Side note: people ask me ALL the time why my skin looks so good. And I am giving you the secret: drink plenty of and only H20. Pretty simple. Caffeine (i.e. coffee) dehydrates your skin. There you have it. You're welcome. :)
So if you want great skin, pure, awesome energy and feel great, drink water! And here are some ways to enjoy it too!
Water infusions are pretty simple. Water+fruit+veggies+herbs=water infusions. Here are some combinations for you to try!
Take a half or a full gallon pitcher and fill with water. Place the cut up fruit, herbs or veggies in and place in fridge. Make sure you eat the fruit and veggies when you are finished with the water too!
- Orange slices+cucumber
- Strawberries+orange slices+lime slices
- Blackberries+orange slices+rosemary
- Apple slices+raspberries
- Chia seeds (a tablespoon to a reusable water bottle. Refill water throughout the day. Aim for over 80 ounces of water per day).
