The 2011 San Francisco Marathon was amazing. From the pre-parties to the race expo to the race itself to the finish line post party. I was one of the "chosen few" aka, a The San Francisco Marathon Ambassador. And I was delighted to help with the race! From leading up to race day to the expo to getting the word out about the marathon, it was an honor to be one of the ambassadors! (Note: Sarah did not receive any compensation from the race).

The theme of the race this year was "Worth The Hurt." And from the race shirt to the race course that theme was a part of the weekend!

San Francisco is one of my favorite U.S. cities (close tie with San Diego and Boulder!). And I couldn't wait to get back to the city!

After touching down and seeing the "San Francisco city limits elevation 64 feet," I realized I could breathe again. Kidding. Enjoyed dinner in the city plus a evening walk. The weather was actually cool and, of course, windy.

The next morning I had a lovely run (with a friend) followed by a pear and some cherry Sun Gold Tomatoes at the Ferry Building overlooking the bay. It was a magnificent morning and run!

That evening was a pre TSFM event at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park.

It was a great evening enjoying the beauty of flowers and friends in beautiful Golden Gate Park!
