Did you know today is National Running day? If you didn't that's ok! But now that you know, why not schedule a few minutes to get a run OR a walk in. Or as I like to say, a sweat fest! You will feel great afterwards! But just don't stop with today, make every day a sweat fest day! :) My Sweat Fest!

My 100 mile training plan for today: 12 mile run, weights+ab/core. It was very humid this morning, so I really got a good sweat going on! Always feels good to have a run done by 9am!:)

So, I have decided to document my 100 mile training journey through not only through this e-letter, but as well as through my blog and video! Make sure you check both sites out(links are at bottom) and bookmark them. This way you can run virtually with me and see what it is like to train for ultra's with an ultra girl:) I hope you will enjoy the journey along with me!

As I was running this morning I was thinking (yes I do that A LOT:)) about the next 3 months of training I will be doing. I will be running a lot of miles each week. I will be stretching a lot. I will be cross training a lot. I will need to make sure I get enough rest/sleep. And I will be eating a lot! Plus running (no pun intended) a few businesses, writing & the usual life stuff.

All of these things combined can be a bit overwhelming. I get asked a lot how I balance everything I do. And here is my secret:) Prioritize. It may sound simple or complex, but after years of experience I have found that when I prioritize the things I have to do, the things I must do and the things I would like to, it makes getting everything done a little easier.

Here are some ways for you to start prioritizing things in your life.

#1) start with writing things down! Before you go to bed each night, write down everything you can think of on a piece of paper or your computer.

#2) balance! Easy to say, but oh so important to do. Don't spend hours answering emails! Don't spend all day on the computer! Incorporate balance by starting with small tasks & work towards the bigger things.

#3) make sure you get exercise in! I recommend first thing in the morning. This way you can spend the rest of the day feeling great! You will also will feel energized+empowered throughout the day.

I hope these suggestions help you!
