Ok, I have been thinking (well, I know that didn't come as a surprise) all week on what I am going to feature today. So, are you ready? Helmets on? Shoes tied? I am going to feature something that is a pet peeve of mine. And it is......High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). WHAT?!! Are you kidding? I got ready for that? Yes, my friend, you did. And let me tell you why. HFCS is in the food you eat & the stuff you drink. With out getting all high tech on the stats with you. Let me just say that it is VERY bad for you. (Note, I will be writing a whole article on this topic & will post on my blog). Next time you are at the store, look at what you have in your hand and you will see this ingredient in the first line of the list. HFCS is in crackers, ice cream, bread, cookies, canned corn, tomato sauce & yogurt, just to name a few.
This ingredient is a culprit in so many health issues we as a nation have. It is a cheap filler & company's use to prolong the shelf life of food for one. Well, that filler is doing the opposite for your body & health. It is not prolonging your life. It is making your life & health short. I don't about you, but I want to have a long, happy & healthy life! What can you do ASAP?
So, two REALLY easy & simple changes. Shop at health food stores. Read the ingredients. Be informed!
So, I urge, no BEG you to look at the box in your hand and become REALLY aware what you are putting in your body. It does more good then you might think!!!! Promise.
