Day 6: Breathe fresh air by taking a walk!

I love the holidays because I get to spend it with lots of friends and family.  I love the time spent by the fire, and cuddling up on the couch with blankets, but there is no better time than to get outside and be active.  We spend most of our day in front of a computer or on the phone, but sometimes the best way to unwind is by turning the TV, video games, phone and computer off, and going for a walk.  No matter where you live, you can always go for a walk. The fresh air that we breathe brings life to the soul, and inspires the mind.  So, over this holiday season, I challenge you to go for a walk at least once a week with a friend or family member.

I have been doing this since I high school, and honestly, there is nothing more gratifying.  My mom, dad, brother, sister and I go for a walk Thanksgiving morning, Christmas afternoon and New Years Day every year.  It gives us time to really catch up without any distractions.  I promise you will feel great afterward!
