Chronic sickness doesn’t have to be a part of your daily life. If you are routinely getting sinus infections, suffer from asthma, depression- you name it- it’s time to take a closer look at what’s eating you. The food that is being marketed to you on TV is all hype and zero health. And this leads to chronic sickness that you just can’t seem to shake. Instead of turning to prescription drugs and antibiotics, start by healing your body from the inside. Hippocrates said it best “let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. Poor gut health

80% of your immune system lives in your gut. That’s a big percentage! So if you get sick frequently, your gut may be the problem. Do you eat a lot of processed products, GMOs, dairy, deli meat and meat in general? These are all acid-producing which causes inflammation and disease thus creating a weak immune system.

The first step is to begin eating nutrient-dense foods like fresh organic veggies, kale, red cabbage, beets, parsley, hemp, chia, quinoa, spirulina, nuts and seeds (just to name a few).

If you must consume dairy, make sure it is only organic dairy and limit consumption of dairy products in general. Dairy can cause mucus problems, allergies, sinus issues, ear infections, IBS issues, GI distress and is also linked to prostate cancer (Dr. Mark Hyman). Note: whey is dairy. So for a protein powder, opt for a plant-based protein like hemp protein.

Processed products

Consuming products produced with hormones, antibiotics, GMOs, artificial sugars (including sugar alcohols like Erythritol) and other food-like products (fake food) is a recipe for sickness, disease, and poor health. Yes, even if you exercise. When these products are consumed, the body becomes weak in trying to fight off sickness. The human body wasn’t created to digest harmful pesticides, harmful chemicals and harmful bacterias from GMOs.

And this should go without saying, but soft drinks are poison. Be it regular, zero, diet, calorie free- they are chemicals in a plastic bottle. Some of the health problems that arise with drinking soft drinks include but are not limited to tooth decay, weight gain, kidney damage, stroke increase, certain cancers, heart disease, weak bones. If you are drinking them, stop right now! Your health will begin to improve immensely.

Drinking alcohol is a touchy subject. People like-really, really like- their beer and wine! The problem tho is that drinking alcohol is drinking inflammation. So while you may read that a glass of red wine at night can relax you, be cautious. Consuming alcohol can have serious health consequences on your overall health. If you have a chronic illness or get sick frequently, stop drinking for an extended period of time. After you regain your wellness and health, introduce alcohol occasionally back into your lifestyle.

Drinking alcohol should be reserved for special occasions, not a daily or weekly occurrence.

(And if the thought of not drinking seems impossible to you, it might be time to take care of your emotional health and not drink your troubles away.)


There is no question about it. Being overweight has serious health issues. Poor heart health, cancer, Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, and skin problems are all associated with obesity.
